ALIA Information Online 2025 will feature three days of online conference, each day tackling a different aspect of the Transformation & Disruption theme. Attendees can register for 1-3 days, and all conference materials will be available to view for 6 months. The conference will showcase keynote speeches, presentations, lightning talks and panel discussions.
ALIA is seeking submissions from across the Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums, and Records (GLAMR) sector to create an opportunity for delegates to think beyond our institutions and explore opportunities presented by what is happening now and on the horizon in the broader GLAMR context.
The third conference stream will be an Indigenous Knowledges Symposium (IKS). Building on the success of the first Indigenous Knowledges Symposium organised by the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) in 2021, the IKS will provide an opportunity to explore how the broader conference theme relates to decolonisation and indigenisation. In collaboration with CAUL and National and State Libraries Australasia (NSLA), ALIA will invite input on the shape of the program for the IKS through an online event in October. If you are interested in presenting at the IKS in 2025, please follow the link to provide your name, contact information, and the topic(s) you are interested in presenting. We aim to match the identified topics raised through the workshop with topics nominated through this expression of interest process. We will confirm IKS presenters later this year. Thank you for your patience as we work to develop this conference day with community input! Keep an eye out for the invitation to attend the workshop in October.
