Lauren Markwell

ALIA Green National Convenor

Lauren (she/her) is ALIA Green’s Convenor. Lauren comes with a diverse working background spanning web design, not-for-profit, social enterprise and eCommerce. The common thread amongst it all is my passion for sustainability, lifelong learning, and the transformative power of an education. She loves public libraries and their role as community hubs and third spaces, driving environmental and social change by providing free access to knowledge and resources for everyone. When not thinking about libraries and sustainability, she is usually found climbing a mountain, hiking for days in the bush, in the garden, or playing with my 7 year old puppy, Callie. She keen for ALIA Green to share effective sustainable practices in a way that inspires you.
